Christine DeSimone
Instructional/Academic Coach, Garfield RE2 School District, 2008-present
M. Ed. Educational Leadership, Colorado Mesa University, 2007
Ed. D. Educational Studies, Minor in Educational Technology, University of Northern Colorado, anticipated 2014
Classroom Teacher, 2004-2008
As an Instructional Coach, Christine performs coaching cycles with teachers on a regular basis. She discovered the idea of using digital video through her coursework at the University of Northern Colorado. Teachers are receiving higher scores on the district's Walk-Though form, where they are regularly evaluated on their instruction. Teachers have also given great feedback and she believes that more schools could benefit from using this simple tool as an embedded, on-going professional development.
